Jacob is not your average sweater. Jacob is a lightweight Sea Island Cotton knit, grown and spun in the British West Indies before being knitted and garment dyed in Europe. Sea Island Cotton fibers are cultivated exclusively on the British West Indies Islands in the Caribbean where the tropical climate produces what are considered the most luxurious cotton fibers in the world. Sea Island Cotton comes from the seed of the Gossypium Barbadense plant which produces the longest fibers in the world with pile lengths of more than 50mm. Genuine Sea Island Cotton is the rarest type of cotton, making up less than 0. 0004 percent of the world's cotton production. The West Indian Sea Island Cotton Association (WISICA) inspects and certifies every kilogram of locally produced cotton and the hologram on our swing tag is a sign of 100% authentic Sea Island Cotton. The Jacob is an incredibly durable garment. The fabric is considered the strongest naturally grown cotton in the world which means it will resist wear and last a lifetime. The definition of a luxurious investment. The fabric also has an unrivalled softness as the long staple yarns create a smooth and silky surface. This is not cotton as you know it. Featuring a ribbed collar, knitted back neck tape to minimise stretching and tubular knit hem and cuffs, the devil really is in the detail with our Jacob collection. Designed to sit in our resort and leisurewear collections, this smart sweater can withstand heavy-duty relaxing, sport, informal and sophisticated events alike and generally every way you enjoy your free-time. The Jacob, seen here in a rich navy blue, is perfect layered atop or under other pieces, but honestly, you won't want to cover up this beauty. The model is 6'1" / 186cm tall with chest size 40". He wears a size Medium.
