product description
Ungaro TER Vintage Black Wool Challis w/Pink Roses Mini Dress It46 Us12 One unexpected thing I've learned recently about Emanuel Ungaro is that he loved floral prints! This one is particularly romantic but juxtaposing it with the length of a mini-skirt (unlatered) gives it an edge. This dress is made in a lightweight wool challis woven in a lovely floral pattern with pink roses, taupe accents, and green leaves. The neckline has a scarf that is attached asymmetrically, so we have tied it in a big, a one-sided bow. One of the last photos shows it untied. The dress itself has a crew neck with wide gathers centered in front and back that make the dress quite full. The long sleeves have light gathers at the shoulders and then taper to button at the wrists. The dress also has hidden, on seam pocjets. It slips on over your head and closes with two buttons on the left shoulder. The fabric is 90% wool and 10% nylon. Labeled Italian size 46, which is considered equivalent to a US size 12. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size.* Measurements - Shoulder width is 15"" - Underarm chest measurement is 46"" - Waist is 46"" - Hips are 44"" and the very bottom of the dress is 42"" - Sleeve length is 22.5"" - Length is 31.5"" down center back. Condition Excellent condition with no apparent flaws.
about EMANUEL UNGARO
The famous House of Emanuel Ungaro has humble roots - Ungaro's father was a tailor and he gave his son a sewing machine. Emanuel Ungaro began designing for the House of Cristobal Balenciaga for three years before quitting to work for Courrèges. Four years later, in 1965 with the assistance of Swiss artist Sonja Knapp and Elena Bruna Fassio, Emanuel Ungaro opened his own fashion house in Paris.
