1972 Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 Retro Vintage Men's Dive Watch with Day Date - Stainless Steel Beautiful Restored Condition - Diameter 38mm Today's auction features this classic retro vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 with Dual Day and Date Adjustment fast. It is presented in magnificent restored condition. Our photos couldn't do his condition justice. The Seamaster Cosmic is one of our favorite non-exotic Seamasters of the era due to its large size, classic design and well-made case with a unique ""bathysphere"" style design featuring movement support interior which houses the movement. At the time when the quartz revolution was taking place, these Cal watches. The 1022 movement incorporates both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Seamaster. The Cosmic 2000 watches were large for their time, measuring 38mm in diameter. They fit well into today's style. Besides its great retro styling, one of the things we love about this watch is its premier dual quick-set date and day functions. Omega created the 1020 and 1022 movements with dual quick-set capability for convenient day and date adjustment. Although many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this ""new"" feature in the late 1990s, the 1020 series mechanisms of Omega were a pioneer in large-scale production watch technology. The 1022, which was the highest trim level in the series, had six more jewels than its sibling. It has all its original parts and has just completed a genuine, expertly carried out restoration. On the wrist, the case presents as a stunning mint with perfectly polished facets. The case back shows signs of moderate previous polishing. *Note: Despite what the photos seem to suggest, the hypocampus logo on the back is still fully intact, just slight. Its Omega dial has been meticulously restored - the impression could pass for factory Omega to the naked eye. As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has just completely overhauled the movement. It rolls up very gently. We also timed it on a machine that simulates wearing it on the wrist. In our tests, it keeps time like a new Omega. For the finishing touch, a new leather strap and replacement Omega buckle have been installed, making it ready for immediate enjoyment. An Omega more than four decades old that looks new on the wrist! Omega Seamaster: Omega is perhaps best known for its Seamaster line of dive watches.
